Employers Can Now Arrange Compulsory Employee Insurance Online

The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues working to extend compulsory insurance against occupational accidents (CIOA) to more employees and to make insurance services more accessible to employers.

As part of this work, the State Annuity Company has launched a new online service on its website that allows employers to conclude a CIOA contract on their own, without visiting an office or contacting a manager.

The entire process is now available online: from registration and entering the required information to receiving a premium calculation, generating the contract and signing it. Documents and certificates are uploaded directly through the portal in line with the established requirements.

When the forms are filled in, some information is loaded automatically from state information systems and the Unified Insurance Database. The employer enters the remaining data independently. Before signing the contract, the information entered can be checked and corrected if necessary.

A valid electronic digital signature of the legal entity is required to conclude the contract. All the main procedures are carried out on a single website, with no need to switch to third-party services.

“The launch of the online service is aimed above all at making insurance more convenient and accessible for employers. Being able to complete the procedure independently in digital format saves time and allows employers to receive the service without visiting an office,” said Olzhas Ashkeyev, Chairman of the Management Board of the State Annuity Company.

Compulsory accident insurance is one of the mechanisms of social protection for employees. In cases provided for by law, insurance payments compensate for harm related to loss of working capacity, as well as statutory costs of treatment and medical and vocational rehabilitation.
