🔹On October 9, 2026, an online meeting on the blue finance initiative was held under the Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE), with the participation of the Republican Research Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (RNIIOT).

The meeting was moderated by Saule Isabekova, Acting National Coordinator of the ILO in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting:
🔹 Kristina Martinez, ILO Senior Specialist on Business Development and Green Jobs, gave a brief overview of the PAGE assessment on blue finance;
🔹 Sirin Elci, ILO International Consultant, presented the stakeholder survey;
🔹 Nurtugan Yerekenov, ILO National Consultant, outlined the focus areas;
🔹 Alimzhan Bekmagambetov, Deputy Director General of RNIIOT, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor, presented the Institute’s study on the impact of the transition to a green economy on jobs and working conditions, along with an overview of the Institute’s research activities.

The meeting concluded with a Q&A session and a final discussion.

The Institute was represented by Acting Director General Yertai Otarov, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor; Deputy Director General Alimzhan Bekmagambetov; and Inara Sarybayeva, Aiman Iskakova and Marat Pernekulov.
