When assessing a family’s level of well-being, the state intends to take into account not only its material circumstances but also its social resilience. This component is designed to accurately reflect the actual composition of the household, the age of all its members, and whether the family includes minor children, elderly relatives or people with disabilities.
Thanks to this approach, two outwardly similar families with comparable assets may ultimately receive completely different assessments.
The additional burden of supporting and caring for family members is taken into account in a dedicated component of the approved methodology. Moreover, a single indicator – for example, owning an apartment or a car – does not in itself determine the final category.
The entire comprehensive assessment is carried out automatically through the Digital Family Map, based on integrated data from state information systems.
This methodology will come into effect from 1 January 2027 to differentiate certain state support measures.
