Kazakhstan Introduces an Electronic Queue for Medical and Social Assessment

The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues to improve public services as part of the digitalisation of the social sector.

To make things more convenient for citizens, an electronic queue is being introduced for in-person medical and social assessment (MSA). The new service makes it possible to choose the date and time of a visit in advance and plan it without waiting in a physical queue.

The electronic queue project was launched in the Akmola region and later introduced in Almaty.

As of 1 October 2026, the electronic queue had been used by 2,580 people in the Akmola region and 3,030 people in Almaty.

Appointments are made through the Social Services Portal (aleumet.egov.kz). The procedure is as simple as possible and takes only a few steps.

After logging in to the Social Services Portal with an electronic digital signature, the citizen selects the “Appointment for assessment” service in their personal account and then chooses a convenient date and time.

The system automatically determines the relevant medical and social assessment department based on the citizen’s place of residence.

After a successful booking, the citizen receives an SMS with the date and time of the assessment, the address of the MSA department and the ticket number. Three days before the visit, the system sends an additional SMS reminder.

If necessary, the citizen can cancel or reschedule the appointment through their personal account.

If the citizen does not arrive at the appointed time, the booking is cancelled automatically, and a notification is sent.

The electronic queue is intended to make medical and social assessment more accessible and convenient, reduce waiting times and organise the reception of citizens more efficiently.

Based on the results of the project in the two regions, the possibility of extending the electronic queue to all regions of the country will be considered.
