\ud83d\udccc Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on the digitalisation of labour and social protection. The meeting focused on digital solutions aimed at making state social assistance better targeted, as well as at ensuring that enterprises strictly respect citizens\u2019 labour rights and at preventing occupational risks.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Head of State has instructed us to ensure large-scale digitalisation and the widespread introduction of artificial intelligence to improve citizens\u2019 quality of life. This is especially important for the social and labour sphere, including in view of the ongoing reform. We must ensure transparent accounting of support measures and an assessment of their actual end results. This is a priority task for the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population,\u201d Olzhas Bektenov stressed.<\/p>\n
Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Population Askarbek Yertayev and Vice Minister Bakhtiyar Zhazykpayev presented the key digital solutions.<\/p>\n
The Digital Family Map information system brings together data from more than 30 state information systems on over 20 million citizens in 6.2 million households. To make the assessment more objective, local executive bodies verify the data taking into account citizens\u2019 actual living conditions.<\/p>\n
Olzhas Bektenov reviewed the situation region by region. Earlier, akims were tasked with stepping up proactive social support for citizens in need, based on the Digital Family Map, by helping them find jobs, get an education, obtain preferential loans and start their own businesses. In this way, the support measures are intended to create a basis for citizens to further improve their quality of life. To date, according to the Ministry of Labour, as a result of this work 480,355 families in need improved their living conditions in 2025 and moved to a category with a higher level of well-being, and another 464,158 families have moved up since the beginning of 2026.<\/p>\n
The meeting also discussed the ongoing reform to optimise social benefits and make them better targeted. Together with akimats, households of well-off citizens have been verified: for them, the changes will apply to only 14 of the 36 types of benefits, while the existing mechanisms will remain in place for the other 22 types of social benefits.
