\n On May 20\u201321, 2026, the third seminar on «Promoting Occupational Safety and Health through Social Dialogue in the Mining Industry of Kazakhstan» was held in Ust-Kamenogorsk.<\/p>\n
The event was organized by the International Labor Organization (ILO) and brought together over 40 representatives of mining and metallurgical enterprises in the East Kazakhstan region.<\/p>\n
The Republican State Enterprise on the Right of Economic Management «Research Institute of Occupational Safety and Health of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan» partnered with the seminar. L.I. Yedilbayeva, Head of the Research Center, and A.T. Omarova, Regional Coordinator, served as trainers representing the Institute. They introduced the participants to the key requirements of ILO Convention No. 176, best industry practices in occupational safety and health, as well as theoretical and practical methods for assessing occupational risks in mining workplaces.
\n <\/b>\n<\/p>\n
\n During the seminar, participants discussed current issues related to developing a safety culture, improving occupational health and safety systems, and strengthening social dialogue in the industrial sector.<\/p>\n
