How to implement a solution at your company

Steps for employers, from choosing a solution to launch.

  1. 1

    Choose an area

Define the task: reduce risks at a site, move briefings online, issue permits-to-work electronically and so on. Find the matching section of the catalogue above.

  2. 2

    Review the features

Open “Features” on a card and compare the solutions in the section. Check the industry: some solutions are designed for mines.

  3. 3

    Contact the developer

Use the link or email on the card. Ask solution providers for a presentation, a demo and terms. Companies marked “Company practice” can be asked to share their implementation experience.

  4. 4

    Check compatibility

Find out whether you need equipment (cameras, sensors, smartphones) and whether the solution connects to your existing systems: CCTV, HR records, reporting.

  5. 5

    Run a pilot

Start with one workshop or site and assess the results after 1–3 months: violations detected, time to fix them, time saved.

  6. 6

    Train your staff

Train users and set out the procedure for using the system in your internal occupational safety documents.
